Meet the Founder: Manny Mohamed

Hey there! I’m Manny, and I wear many hats—creative strategist, DJ, writer, and your go-to guide for unlocking creativity. First things first, let’s dive into some fun facts:

First-Generation Somali-American and eldest daughter of 8 (so, yes, I know a thing or two about perfectionism and responsibility!)

I’m a Scorpio Sun, Aquarius Moon, and Aquarius Rising, which means I love digging deep into emotions while seeing the world from a unique, visionary perspective.

According to Human Design, I’m a Generator with a 5/1 Profile, here to be a problem-solver and investigator, finding solutions and strategies to guide others.

Music is my soul's food. I love DJing for fun and letting the beats flow through me. I also write on Substack, where you can find my musings on life, creativity, and emotional growth.

My Journey: From Chaos to Clarity

Over the last few years, I’ve gone through what I like to call a Tower Moment. My entire life—built on other people’s expectations, societal pressures, and survival mechanisms—came crashing down. What followed was a period of rediscovery, where I began reclaiming my younger self, reconnecting with my suppressed creativity, and learning how to flow with life instead of battling against it.

For much of my life, I felt like a pattern of survival—a reflection of power dynamics, cultural expectations, and societal pressures. As a Black, Muslim, first-generation American woman, I internalized a narrative of struggle, compromise, and doing everything twice as hard to prove my worth. But in 2020, I realized the “me” I thought I was... wasn’t truly me at all.

Since then, I’ve been on a journey of deconditioning, reconnecting with my body, mind, and emotions, and rediscovering my creativity, freedom, and intuition. I’m learning to dream again, rebuild my world, and guide others to do the same.
